Aussie jetsetter Ella Knights, 26, was discovered in a ditch in North Kuta, Bali, at 3am yesterday with her motorbike still running nearby and was rushed to hospital but pronounced dead on arrival.
Daily Mirror reports that one week before the crash ,the marketing representative posted a four second clip on social media showing her laughing and smiling while riding on the back of a friend's scooter without protective headgear.
But close family friend Neal Price, from Brisbane, Queensland, claimed Ella was wearing a helmet at the time of her fatal accident – despite police reports denying this – and said the video had been misconstrued.
Executive director Neal, who spent two weeks in Bali with Ella during her trip, said:
Some local reports claim Ella, who had previously been travelling in India and was due to return home to Sydney, Australia, next month, was witnessed not wearing a helmet before the crash.

Ella and her mum |
"It is devastating – I was with her last week in Bali and she is not a risk taker, she is a very responsible young lady.
"She had a helmet on at the time of the accident . She had sent me a photo of the bike with her helmet on the seat, she said she had a helmet on.
"It is a tragedy. She is not a risk taker – she was not like that. She was having a good holiday."
