While the kidnappers abducted Oluwafemi and his wife, they left Oluwadare.

The victims were said to have visited their Ogotun hometown and were on their way back when the incident occurred.

An eyewitness said some residents were also robbed of their money and other valuables by the kidnappers.

A family member, who pleaded not to be named, disclosed that the kidnappers contacted the family onn Sunday, demanding N20m ransom.

The source said,
@”This morning, (Sunday), the family was contacted by the kidnappers to release them unconditionally.
“Oluwafemi and his wife were taken away while Oluwadare, who owns the vehicle they were traveling in, was left behind.
“It is very curious that some policemen mounted a checkpoint sone distance away from the scene of the abduction, and could not engage the criminals.
“In the last five month, criminals, some whom wore army and police uniforms, have killed no fewer than six residents in ogotun and adjoining settlements. We want government and security agencies to save us.”

Efforts to reach the police spokeperson, Mr Albertto Adeyemi, were not successful as of press time.
