If Ghana Allows Same Sex Marriage In The Country, They Will Invoke The Wrath Of God - Reverend Father

A Roman Catholic Reverend Father has said that if Ghana allowed same-sex marriage, the country would incur the wrath of God if.

According to Adom FM, Rev Father Stephen Wereko indicated that, all countries that had accepted gay rights have been cursed by God and that Ghana would not be an exception if the country took a pro-gay stance.

He made the call during the inauguration of the 40th-anniversary celebration of Catholic Charismatic Renewal Church in Cape Coast.


Wereko is the Head pastor of St Marks Roman Catholic Church Awutu Breku in the Central region.

This comes after the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Prof. Aaron Michael Oquaye called for an amendment of Ghana’s law on homosexuality.

In his view, same-sex marriage is abomination since the culture, religion, and traditions of the Ghanaian set up frowns on it.

In support, Rev Father Stephen Wereko said there was no way Ghana will succumb to the liberalisation of the world by accepting homosexuality as part of its culture.

“God created a man to marry a woman and that is final. Same sexes cannot marry. I am calling on all Christians to voice out because we know the Bible does not believe in gay rights.”

Wereko, therefore, requested that President Akufo-Addo should reassure Ghanaians that his government would not hide behind the cloak of ‘civil rights’ to legalise same-sex marriages.

Woman recounts TRo Court How Her Husband Left Her For An Evangelist

A housewife and mother of four, Kafayat Moses, on Wednesday, asked the Mapo Customary Court in Ibadan to dissolve her 15-year-old marriage to Moses Odeyemi over abandonment.

Kafayat informed the court that her husband, though a Pastor, had abandoned her for another woman, thereby, denying her all the rights of a wife.

“Things were going on smoothly between us until 2014 when Moses suddenly came to introduce to me a woman evangelist whom he said was a perfect spiritual worker with him.


“Exactly two months after her arrival in our home, our good relationship started collapsing.

“I discovered that Moses started leaving home every five A.M and doesn’t return until around 11 P.M. every day in the company of that woman.

“Hunger and suffering affected the children and me.

“Whenever I put calls through to him that there was nothing for us to eat, Moses took offense and when he returns home, he subjects the children and I to battery, complaining that we were disturbing him.

“He had earlier asked me to stop the only business that was bringing me money to learn working as a midwife and I obeyed him.

“Ever since I learnt midwifery, there have been nothing because no customer came.

“Moses has quietly married the woman evangelist somewhere, thereby, exposing the four children and I to trauma, hunger, emotional and psychological difficulties,” she told the court.

In his response, Moses agreed to divorce Kafayat but asked the court to grant him custody of the four children.

The respondent who was silent on the allegation of abandoning his wife for another woman.

“My lord, Kafayat is a devil in human skin as she has been working for the downfall of my church.

“Ever since I got married to her, she has been tearing all members of my church apart as well as my relatives.

“Kafayat doesn’t want my parents and relatives to come close to me as she keeps nagging,” Moses stated.

The President of the court, Mr Ademola Odunade, asked Kafayat to produce the four children in court and adjourned the case to May 2, for judgment.

While Kafayat resides at Olomi area, Moses resides at Muslim area of Ibadan.

Mel B's Husband Shares Intimate Threesome Snap Amidst Claims Their Marriage Ended Because It Was An Open One

A photo posted by Stephen Belafonte that jokes he and newly-estranged wife Mel B had embarked on a threesome has emerged online.

Clearly in a playful mood, the film producer then shared one of the images to his own page - and joked that two of the individuals were him and the singer.

The sexy photo depicted a man fondling one woman's thigh, while his head rested on another's stomach, beside her hand clad with fake nails and a dazzling ring.

Poking fun with fans, he wrote beside the shot: 'Is that my mouth?? Is that @officialmelb ring?'

However Kim later made sense of her selection of risqué photos from the bash, which Mel and Stephen had actually been present at.

She took to her app to explain that none of the implied antics had happened, but that the photos were instead a creative experiment by the group.

She said on her app: 'It's been a while since our friends have been together and all dressed up, so we were just feeling inspired and wanted to take fun pics.'

'It was a different way to capture moments from the night. We were all so into snapping and coming up with different ideas.'

However the photo's resurfacing comes as Stephen's brother Jeremiah claimed it was Stephen and Mel's 'open' relationship that led to the breakdown of their marriage.
